Honda have launched their 2015 Fit with a campaign that’s every bit as fun and flexible as the car. Created by RPA, and featuring music by Jeremy Simon / Furnival Music, the campaign highlights the many different uses of the car, in a refreshingly original style. The ads are fronted by comedian Nick Thune. Fans of the spot include AdWeek, who named the campaign their Ad of the Day. No meerkats were harmed in production, we are told.
The Teen Project is an organization that gives teens aging out of the foster care system the kind of support and resources they need to transition into adulthood. Director Sarah May Bates created a simple but powerful short film that shows how even a small donation can make a big difference to a struggling teenager’s life. In her words: “I chose to focus on the idea of breakfast because it’s something many take for granted, yet when you’re a kid, seeing your breakfast waiting for you in the morning means that you are looked after. For a kid who’s been homeless for a long time, just to be fed breakfast is extremely meaningful: it’s a kindness they have not had.”
Jeremy Simon / Furnival Music provided the original score.

She will be raising money for Women’s Aid, a charity committed to ending domestic violence against women and children. Danish speaker company Dali have created a film to launch their Kubik Free speaker system. With music by Jeremy Simon / Furnival Music, the ad showcases the range of colors and possibilities of the impressive modular wireless speaker system. The speakers are winning awards and picking up complements left right and center. “Given the wealth of connectivity options and the system’s musicality – which is astounding given the size of the units – the Kubik Free should be right at the top of anyone’s portable music wish-list.” – BBC Music Magazine
The commercial was directed by British filmmaker Giles Greenwood.
Los Angeles ad agency RPA created a charming spot promoting Honda’s seasonal sales event. As well as some great performances, the ad featured 3 seconds of pure bubblegum pop, created by Jeremy Simon / Furnival Music. Demands from eagle-eared listeners for a full length release went unheeded, though popular music blog Popdust managed to catch up with Jeremy for a chat about the genesis of the cheeky song.
